Pregnancy Chiropractor Palm Beach Gardens

When you’re pregnant, you want to remain relaxed, comfortable and look forward to a complication-free birth. Dr. Natalie is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and has trained in pregnancy chiropractic care. As a mom of three, she is a testament to the power of chiropractic before, during and after pregnancy.

Starting Your Care

Dr. Natalie will evaluate your spine and pelvis. The ligaments that connect to the uterus can then stay relaxed for a smooth childbirth. In turn, your baby can be more at ease in the womb. Your spine protects the spinal cord, which is attached to the nerves that go all over your body. When your nervous system is healthy, your whole body can be well, including your baby.

We’ll likely see you more often toward the end of your pregnancy. You want to be well-adjusted before your baby’s arrival. A pregnancy pillow allows you to lie facedown during your adjustments at our practice.

I have severe sciatica this pregnancy and never been to a chiropractor before. I had a great experience and was able to feel about 75-80% better after my first visit. I can now function and do daily living tasks without screaming from shooting nerve pains. Lauren D.

Progressing With Your Labor

Dr. Natalie has even adjusted patients who wanted to see her during their labor to make sure their body was in the best shape for their delivery. If your labor isn’t progressing, it’s called prodromal labor. There are different positions we can put you in to try to get the baby properly positioned for birth. The adjustment may also relax Mom so that they aren’t tense and labor can progress.

Help for Infertility

Chiropractic care can be helpful before you conceive. In fact, many couples have gotten pregnant thanks to the assistance of chiropractic. Since the pelvis is evaluated, if there is something out of alignment, it can affect your entire reproductive system. You might have painful periods or other issues that hinder you from getting pregnant.

If you’re planning on getting pregnant or haven’t been able to, trying chiropractic might be for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How safe is an adjustment during pregnancy?

Getting adjusted while pregnant is very safe. It helps reduce the mother’s pain and discomfort, and prepares her body and pelvis for childbirth.

How often do I need to come in?

For prenatal maintenance adjustments, we recommend monthly visits, at a minimum, until 30 weeks, bi-weekly until 36 weeks, then weekly until childbirth. Of course, if the mother is experiencing any issues, the frequency will increase based on her individual needs.

Will you work with my OB-GYN?

Yes, we work in collaboration with a few OB-GYNs and midwives in the area. We would love to work with yours too!
